Estahban
At the foot of green mountains of Fars south east and at the end of Zagros mountains , there is a beautiful and small city , Estahban , that mountains have surrounded it as a signet and spent their time for long years like a silver ring . this city has amused itself with hot rays of sun for a long time. Estahban is a Quranic city because mosques – Quranic institutions and religious and cultural centers of it are famous for a long time .
About 250 persons in Estahban memorized Quran and shine like bright stars in the sky in this religious city.
Estahban is an old region that is in eloquent soil of Fars . here is region of great people ,good characters and contented people who are very patient , constant and kind. Estahban is Darol Moamenin because religion, chastity, religious duty and recommended actions are constant habit of its people for a long time . people pay much attention to obey God and go to congregation pray at the beginig time .this city is small Najaf because this city is city of many great scientists, religious jurist prudence, poets – artists and speakers that every one shows evidence
Its scientific school with long record tries to educate religious and scientific scholar and spread divine learnings and now this city has 3 centers for high teaching :
Azad university – Payame Noor university – an institution for technique teaching " Emam Hosein institution " .
There are 10,000 scholars here and there are 2 scientific schools with 80 scholars for men and women which show science and knowledge in this city . Estahban had high presence in Islamic revolution. The first martyr of revolution in Fars province is from Estahban . " shahid Ali akbar Rostami ". in referendum for political fate of Iran, all people voted affirmatively in Is amic Islamic Republic of Iran and there isn’t even a negative vote . people offered 500 martyrs in revolution and in the proporition of population this city has many martyrs as compared with our country Iran . all of these are deep beliefs of high aspiration and religious people of this city.
Historical record of Estahban :
In historical resources , the name of this city was Estahbanat .after domination of Arabian people , its name changed as Estahbanat . this word’s root is from a Pahlavian word :seteh
And its suffix : Ban means vineyard . in the recent decades its name changed as Estahban . in local language , its name is Sabonat or Saboonat .the first old traces in this area are : DarolAman castle – 4 arches – Badreh fountain a stony veranda – traces of Bahman bed -Dokhtar castle – historical under ground water – tomb of Emam zadeh babol morad .seyyed shamsoddin – tomb of sheikh maghrebi – kolah sooz that all of these places are in Estahban and central part of this city and first temple of mahfarkhan – 4 arches of mobarakabad – building of sahlabad – first temple of Ghasham Ghavi – Ashkaft Gabr – historical traces of Dehviyeh villageas disappeared city and Kafar castle " Tang morghak " is from Roniz .old traces from preceding historical period are : shaving of stones.

Estahban is located in 175 kilometers from north of shiraz and its neighbors are Darab – Niriz- Bakhtegan lake – Fasa and Shiraz .
This city has 2000 kilometers extent- about 1731 meters height from sea level .
It is located I n mountains area , its weather is moderate and its population in Estahban , Roniz ,and Iej is about 70000 people .

Estahban is a city of science and culture. This city trained many great people and famous men and had a glorious record .
Shahide rabea’ : ayatollah Alozma Mohammad Bagher Estahbanati , philosopher , speaker , doctor , inventor , mathematician ,analyzer of scientific nucleus .leader of liberal people in Fars and the only antecedent and martyr in constitution period and the fourth scientist and martyr in Islamic world. He suffered martyrdom in 1276 when he was 70 years old by despotism and colonization agents.

He was juris consult of Emams and fighter antecedent ,researcher , scientist , leader of pious men and a person who know discourses . he was a great man that in 1338 when he was 80 died .
Shahid Hojatol Eslam Haj Sheikh Ahmad Faghihi :
He was a fighter , leader of human fighting , teacher of moral ,assistant of deprived people , essential of young people , judge of court in revolution he suffered martyrdom in 1360 when he was 50 by hypo critical people .

Bon Darreh foundation of Iej :
this place is beautiful and fresh and one of the ancient marks from Sasanian period .
Bakhtegan lake :
it is an international pond in Khir village which is beautiful .

Estahban is the greatest producer of fig in the world , this city has about 2 millions trees of fig in 22000 hectares field and has created beautiful and incomparable sights. Other products of this city are : grapes , almond , pomegranate ,other fruits , saffron , wheat , oat , cotton , corn, grains , summer crops, vegetables .
